During the 2022 Game Awards, Hidetaka Miyazaki, creative director for FromSoftware proclaimed during his acceptance of the Game of The Year award for Elden Ring that there are more things coming for the game. Today, we finally get just a peek at what’s to come for the world-renowned RPG.
Last night the FromSoftware Twitter account posted an image captioned, “DLC ‘Shadow of the Erdtree’ for ‘ELDEN RING’ is under development. The follow-up report is still a little ahead, but I would appreciate it if you could look forward to it.”
As for now, all we have is the DLC title and the announcement art, which shows a girl on a horse riding toward the Erdtree. Fans have begun speculating whether the person depicted is Miquella, and whether the horse is our trusty Torrent. We don’t know how long we’ll have to wait for the answers, as there is no current release date. We’ll update you with any news as it becomes available.
